Professional Training PDF Print E-mail

Customized professional training programs in wildlife management are available for wildlife control professionals, as well as for staff, managers and executives of both civil and military airports, to enable them to better understand and mitigate risks posed by wildlife. Our training services are recognized by Canadian Aviation Regulation (CAR) and we are Federal Aviation Administration (FAR) Part 139 compliant.

We offer this type of training program to all our wildlife-management personnel and managers to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to carry out measures described in their wildlife management plan. Our training packages are:

  • Airport Wildlife Management Training for Civilian Airport Operations Managers
  • Airport Wildlife Control for Civilian Airport Safety Officers
  • Airport Wildlife Management Training for Military Operations Managers
  • International Airport Wildlife Management Training for Airport Managers

This specialized training is also important since management measures often require federal, provincial/state or municipal permits. Wildlife-management personnel may be required to complete training courses to obtain these.

Our activities also include the development of educational and outreach programs as well as participating in endangered wildlife conservation programs.

  • Design of educational programs
  • Production and conception of interpretative signs and panels
  • Development of natural heritage and other sites of particular interest
  • Creation of specialised educational tools
  • Training in wildlife interpretation
  • Development of educational strategies
