Saint-Lazare, Quebec (October 18, 2022) – Falcon Environmental Inc. (FALCON) is pleased to announce that the Public Services and Procurement Canada and Department of National Defense have renewed their wildlife management contract with FALCON at the 12 Wing Shearwater aerodrome. The contract is renewed until November 30, 2023, with the option to extend up to four additional one-year periods.
FALCON is proud to continue its fruitful relationship with 12 Wing Shearwater. “PWGSC Halifax understands the importance of writing and evaluating a proper bid,” says Rob Shevalier, FALCON COO. “Our strength is our team, our power is our knowledge, our passion is unequaled! I’m so proud of our team of professionals from the top to the bottom.”
At every airfield, our goal is to ensure public and operations safety by managing bird hazards with the most effective and humane solutions known in the industry. FALCON uses active management methods such as pyrotechnics, falconry, distress calls, trapping and relocation, to name a few, but also adopts habitat management strategies as appropriate to the aerodrome and species living in or moving through its territory (bird spikes, netting, vegetation and water management, etc.). The breadth of our interventions can also extend beyond airport boundaries, up to 15 km in the surrounding area
